PHP (Drupal) Development, E-Mail And Website Hosting, And A Brave New World

We've been evolving here at Access Programming Group, Inc. After having been deep in Microsoft Access, .NET, Visual Studio, etc. we're now, and have been for about the past year or so, becoming heavily focused on Drupal specifically, and PHP in general. Of course, we don't do everything in Drupal, but it is very often a great solution. We've also created a few custom CMS (Content Management System) solutions, and work with Joomla, CodeIgniter, and plenty of other frameworks. However, development in this new world is exciting, fast-moving, and very powerful. We're working with some very talented developers at some of the web's top design firms. We're now even running CentOS 5 on our servers hosting our own e-mail and websites!

We don't even have financial incentive to point people towards Drupal, because it's free and open source, so it's not like we get kickbacks from any licensing fees, it's just that it's simply the best solution for so many sites that we're helping out with now. It's a really easy to design and customize exactly to a designer layout, extensible for any functionality desired, and truly international framework. We're very excited about our new ventures, so if you need a website designed and programmed, we'd love to show you what we can do!

Of course, we're still running Windows. We run Windows 2003 Small Business Server, program plenty in Microsoft Access 2003 and 2007, and even run Microsoft Windows Vista. But now that we're seeing the way the other half lives, we're starting to really enjoy what we're seeing. We are going to a Microsoft Heroes Happen Here event next week, though, so don't get to thinking that we've totally moved on from our Microsoft technologies...

As mentioned above, we are now also hosting our own e-mail and website, and are now hosting plenty of Drupal deployments. Our friends over at Truthful Computers just got their Drupal installation up and running, and should be making some great things happen shortly.
